Who We Are

Hope for Homes

At Hands Of Hope we are holding hope for those unable to presently hold it for themselves. As a Food and Resource Center we understand how the feeling of hopelessness can amplify when food insecurity and housing insecurity mix. Hope For Hopes is our primary benevolent resource program that focuses on helping people stay in their homes and those experiencing the renewal of coming into a home again or for the first time.

Homeless Prevention
  • Partial Rent and mortgage assistance (as funds allow)
  • Utility assistance
  • Transportation assistance
Home Renewal
  • Furniture assistance
  • Home appliance assistance
  • And other home essentials (based on current availability)
Dignity & Teamwork

Our Approach

Quality Donations

We source new and gently used household goods, furniture and appliances from the local community, corporate partnerships and generous donors.

A Team Effort

We receive intakes and referrals from other organizations, caseworkers, social workers, or the individuals themselves. (There will be a priority placed on requests from other organizations and case/social workers.

Move-In Day

We then work directly with the individual and their family to provide an assessment of the resources needed and schedule a move-in day.

Helping Hands

We will arrive with our team of volunteers to unload all furniture (within 20 miles of our facility) and assemble home within the walls of the client’s house.

We don’t stop there. By working with us you are assigned a follow-up resource officer (if not already appointed) to clarify additional needs and local services.

Large Furniture Donations

Pickup/ Dropoff for large furniture is scheduled for two days a month. With limited volunteers we want to show honor to their time and our resources.  WE are only able to pickup within 15 miles of Hands of Hope. Small household items maybe dropped off during business hours of Hands of Hope, but please still call and let us know you are on the way.
